Refund and Cancellation Policy

At Fredicia Web Development (https://web.fredicia.com), we strive to deliver high-quality digital solutions. Because we provide customized professional services, our refund policy is designed to be fair to both the client and our development team.
1. Statutory Cooling-Off Period
In accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA), you are entitled to a 5-day cooling-off period after making a purchase, provided that Fredicia Web Development has not yet commenced work on your project. During this period, you may cancel your order for a full refund, minus any third-party transaction fees incurred (e.g., PayFast fees).
2. Cancellation Before Work Commences
If you wish to cancel your project after the 5-day cooling-off period but before Fredicia Web Development has started any design or development work:
- You will receive a 90% refund of the total package price.
- A 10% administration fee will be retained to cover processing, consultation time, and project scheduling.
3. Cancellation After Work Commences
Once work has begun, refunds are tiered based on the stage of the project to cover the hours of labor already invested:
- Design Phase: If cancellation occurs after the initial design concepts or mockups have been presented, a 50% refund will be issued.
- Development Phase: Once the website has been built on a staging or live environment, no refunds will be issued.
4. Non-Refundable Costs
Certain costs incurred by Fredicia Web Development on behalf of the client are strictly non-refundable:
- Domain Registration: Once a domain name is registered, it cannot be “un-registered.”
- Managed Hosting: Monthly hosting fees are non-refundable once the hosting environment has been set up.
- Premium Licenses: Any third-party premium plugins or themes purchased specifically for your project.
5. Maintenance and Subscription Services
- Maintenance and Hosting plans are billed monthly in advance.
- There are no refunds for partial months. If you cancel mid-month, your service will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.
- Cancellations for recurring services must be made in writing at least 30 days before the next billing date.
6. No Refunds for Completed Projects
Once a website has been approved by the client and moved to a “Live” status, the project is considered complete and no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

- Approved refunds will be processed within 7-14 working days.
- Refunds will be paid back via the same method used for the original transaction (via PayFast or EFT).
