Last Updated: March 2, 2026

Welcome to Fredicia Web Development (https://web.fredicia.com). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of our web development and maintenance services. By purchasing a package, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Services and Packages

Fredicia Web Development offers three main web development packages: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The specific features of each package are outlined on our Services page. Any work required outside the scope of the purchased package will be quoted separately at an hourly rate.

2. Payment Terms

  • Upfront Payment: We operate on a 100% upfront payment model. Development of your project will only commence once the full payment for your chosen package has reflected in our account.
  • Payment Methods: Payments are processed securely via our website through PayFast.
  • Currency: All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR).

3. Client Responsibilities (Content Delivery)

To ensure your project is completed on time, the client is responsible for:

  • Providing all text, high-resolution logos, and images required for the website.
  • All content must be provided within 14 days of purchase.
  • Failure to provide content within this timeframe may result in your project being moved to the back of our development queue.

4. Project Timelines

While we strive to complete projects within the estimated timeframes (Bronze: 1-2 weeks, Silver: 2-3 weeks, Gold: 4+ weeks), these are estimates only. Project completion is strictly dependent on the timeous delivery of content and feedback from the client.

5. Maintenance and Hosting

  • Monthly Billing: Maintenance and Managed Hosting plans are billed monthly in advance via recurring payment or debit order.
  • Cancellations: You may cancel your maintenance or hosting plan by providing 30 days’ written notice.
  • Suspension: We reserve the right to suspend hosting services if monthly payments are more than 7 days overdue.

6. Intellectual Property and Ownership

  • Ownership of the website’s visual design and content is transferred to the client only once the project is completed and handed over.
  • Fredicia Web Solutions retains the right to display the completed project in our portfolio and marketing materials.
  • Any third-party software or plugins used (e.g., Spectra, WooCommerce) remain the property of their respective owners and are subject to their own licensing terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

Fredicia Web Solutions will not be held liable for any loss of profits, data, or business interruption caused by website downtime, software bugs, or third-party plugin failures. While we implement high-security standards, we cannot guarantee that a website will be 100% immune to hacking or cyber-attacks.

8. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to terminate a project without a refund if:

  • The client provides illegal or offensive content.
  • The client is unresponsive for more than 30 consecutive days.
  • There is a material breach of these terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be handled within the jurisdiction of the courts in the Western Cape.
